On the planet Zonk, Love is considered to be a toxic emotion. To rid themselves of it, three aliens must travel to the planet Earth, where heartbreak is guaranteed to happen. One of the extraterrestrials, Zionx, falls head over heels for the earthling Jane, whose dull life working at a gift-card shop is quickly turned upside down.  

Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same borrows many stylistic aspects from pulp sci-fi films of the 50s and 60s, while satirising elements of lesbian relationships and culture.
