Ripley’s Game (2002) stars John Malkovich as the anti-hero Tom Ripley, and is the third book in Patricia Highsmith's Ripley’s series. Ripley lives in a villa in the Veneto (in northern Italy) with his harpsichord-playing girlfriend. He’s an art connoisseur, master of soufflés and genius murderer. Three years after being involved in an art forgery, Ripley is contacted by a former business associate from Berlin who asks him for help killing a rival. Ripley’s plan is then to turn the innocent local picture framer Jonathan Trevanny into a hitman.
